The lyrics
The chorus is the best part to sing together — it’s highlighted in gold.
Intro
Hey! Hey!
You ready?
Grab your journal!
Come on, Faith!
Let’s go!
Verse 1
Wake up, sunshine, it’s a brand-new day,
Got my little lion and we’re on our way!
Got a curious mind and a heart full of dreams,
Nothing’s ever quite as simple as it seems.
Look around, slow down, what do you see?
Every little clue could unlock the mystery!
Ask a question, lend a hand,
Together we can make a plan!
Pre-Chorus
If we get lost, that’s okay,
We’ll find our way, we’ll find our way.
With a little faith and a little light,
We can make the whole world bright!
Chorus
Adventure with Makeda!
Come on, everybody, let’s go!
Adventure with Makeda!
There’s so much waiting to know!
Learn, laugh, love, explore,
Open up another door!
With courage in our hearts today,
Adventure with Makeda—
Come on, let’s play!
Kids’ chant
Ma-ke-da!
Let’s go!
Ma-ke-da!
Explore!
Faith beside us,
Dreams inside us—
Adventure! Adventure!
We want MORE!
Verse 2
Maybe there’s a puzzle, maybe there’s a clue,
Maybe there’s a friend who needs something we can do.
Numbers, letters, animals, stars,
We can learn about the world wherever we are!
No need to rush, take your time,
Look for the pattern, find the sign.
If you don’t know, just ask “Why?”
Every question helps you fly!
Pre-Chorus
If we get stuck, that’s okay,
There’s always another way.
Take a breath, try again,
Every challenge can begin
With a little faith and a little light—
We can make the whole world bright!
Chorus
Adventure with Makeda!
Come on, everybody, let’s go!
Adventure with Makeda!
There’s so much waiting to know!
Learn, laugh, love, explore,
Open up another door!
With courage in our hearts today,
We’re growing more and more each day!
Bridge
You can be brave,
You can be kind,
You can be curious,
Use your mind.
You can dream big,
You can shine bright,
And when you help somebody,
You make the world light!
